Berlin-based design studio YUUE, have now added a mini lamp to their gravity defying Balancer series.
Drastically reduced in size, but with the same much-loved look, this reimagined multifunctional light fits perfectly on a windowsill, bookcase, or workstation.
Its rectangular column cleanly conceals all the electrical components and wall mounting details, while the mouth-blown opal glass shade smartly rotates to direct the light emitted. This is then controlled by a discrete 3-step touch brass dimmer, ensuring the Balancer Mini always meets your changing needs.
Yuue
YUUE is a Berlin-based design studio that reimagines objects for daily life. Founded in 2015, YUUE has been since exploring human-object relationships with special focus on interactivity and emotion. YUUE also uses design to intervene in problems of the environment and society to express an independent attitude.
Weng Xinyu was born in Taizhou, China. After studying product design at Bauhaus University Weimar, he has exhibited his works at various design fairs. He founded Yuue design studio together with his partner Tao Haiyue.The focus of Weng’s design practice is to understand the relationship between mankind and its creations. He is interested to use design as an expression to reflect on social problems. He also seeks inspiration by comparing cultures and re-discovering traditions and legacies before our age.
