Hailing from Randers, Denmark, Esben Bala Skouboe is a visionary designer renowned for pushing boundaries and charting new paths.
With a Civil Engineering degree in Architecture & Design and a 2015 Ph.D. in Responsive Public Lighting from Aalborg University, Skouboe has delved into a fascinating spectrum of research areas such as augmented reality, sensor technology, architectural lighting, parametric design, and the development of non-standard architectural forms.
Beyond academia, Esben's impact has been felt in practical design contexts, notably clinching the top spot at the 10th Architectural Biennale in Venice for his 'Nora' pavilion. He also played a pivotal role in crafting the 'Future Delivery' room at Herning Hospital in 2014, subsequently focusing on the development of mood control solutions for healthcare.
